The decision maker wishes to have on his dashboard key indicators measuring his system and announcing abnormal operations and other gaps according to the selected management. One of the main difficulties of the choice of the indicators is primarily not to limit itself to a simple official report.
5Quelle is the difference between official report and piloting? It is not a question to measure to control but control…

This difference is major. This simple matter carries in substance all the change.

Indeed, the instrument panels are not new. Since the beginnings of the era , we build instrument panels to note the gaps compared to a set standard. “You will be blame or ” according to your results.
Today, it is not any more the matter.
The complexity of the world in which the firms evolve/move reveals of day in day. It is not a question any more of producing according to a preestablished reference frame and of leaving it there. All the actors of the firm henceforth are personally related to with the performance, which it is expressed in term of productivity, of quality of production, cost control, client service or environmental protection… This list is nonexhaustive by definition, it will be always to supplement.
To evolve/move in dubious universe, the task of each actor is enriched by a more or less large component of ad hoc decision making. The instrument panel that we must build, true system of personal Business intelligence, must take into account this new definition of the role of each one and its concerns to become a personalized assistant.

6On cannot thus regard the instrument panel as an instrument of motivation?

The instrument panel is an instrument of progress…

Especially not!
The word motivation is often perceived like the average miracle of management: “It is necessary to justify”.
The instrument panel should not be a purpose of competition. It is not a question to make “MORE” that the team of at side, but to do “BETTER” together for the interest combined of all! The indicator is neither an instrument of motivation, nor an instrument of stress but an aid with piloting.
